Anthropic · Vendor Security Guide

Claude for Enterprise Security

Anthropic positions on AI safety as a foundational principle. Operationally, the security review is the same as any vendor: contracts, data handling, audit, vendor due-diligence.

What it is

Anthropic's enterprise tier of Claude. Includes SSO, audit logging, contractual data-handling guarantees, and access to the Claude model family (Sonnet, Opus, Haiku tiers). Anthropic has positioned heavily on AI safety, including constitutional AI methods and the responsible scaling policy.

Central risk

Same as any major LLM vendor: data leaving your environment, vendor security posture, contractual commitments. Anthropic's safety positioning does not change the core enterprise security review.

Specific risks

  • Sensitive data in prompts
  • Vendor concentration risk
  • Plug-in and tool-use governance in agentic deployments
  • Audit trail completeness
  • Pricing model risk for token-heavy use

Recommended controls

  • SSO and provisioning
  • DLP on prompts
  • Audit logging
  • Vendor due-diligence with SOC 2 review
  • Tool-use scope review for agentic deployments

Posture Check checkpoint

Same dimensions as other vendor reviews. Vendor (Q26–Q30) and Data (Q6–Q10).
